I built this little corner of the internet from nothing while taking classes at my local community college. Like many creatives, I started without a concrete plan. My first blog ideas were scribbled on the back of a napkin—or whatever crumpled sheet of paper I could find. After graduating, I stretched the last of my already-tight budget to buy my first professional Mac and began bringing those ideas to life. In the happiest time of the year, concerns get smaller and holiday cheer grows bigger. South Shore Harbour Resort breathes new life into a traditional gingerbread house scaling it up to 6-foot-tall and placing it in the hotel lobby for passersby to enjoy. How amazing is that? Looking more like a gingerbread castle, the sweet treat brings joy to so many others. Holidays are always better when highlighted with shared experiences and a few pounds of butter, sugar, candies and ginger.

Gingerbread treats always turn on holiday joy. No sweet represents the winter holidays quite like ginger with honey. Who needs the Christmas tree when you can have the 6-foot-tall gingerbread castle with all this elaborate icing, assorted candies, colorful sprinkles and white sugar pearls as a backdrop for your holiday photos? It's displayed throughout December in the lobby and free to the public.
